First ConcRE_t coffee
Sylwia Hull-Wosiek spoke with Mariusz Chrapko about the competence of male and female leaders not of the future but of the present.
We launched an initiative of short, informative and, above all, concrete meetings over coffee with people specializing in various branches of business.
The theme of the first ConcRE_t coffee was the competencies of male and female leaders. According to guest speaker Mariusz Chrapko, the three key competencies needed by managers are:
- Experimentation and discovery and the use of protopia, or, to quote Marius, "taking small steps, such micro changes that produce macro effects,"
- asking yourself questions. Here our Guest suggests the following three questions: "What is this situation trying to tell me?", "What is this particular situation calling me to?", "What is this situation inviting me to?". You can read more about the so-called transforming questions in Alan Seale's book "Transforming Presence. "Transforming Presence. How to make your mark in a rapidly changing world. Tools, Structures and Models,"
- listening skills.
During the interview, Mariusz also stressed the importance of one-on-one meetings as an opportunity to identify employee needs and build relationships. We encourage you to listen to a report on an adventure where leadership figures spent time herding sheep while learning servant leadership.
