Are trendy tests like horoscopes, or a few words on what working with FRIS and Gallup results will give you.

The growing popularity of various types of tests to determine personality type, functioning styles, thinking, acting or talents is due to the fact that they work and are invaluable support in both individual personal development and strengthening teamwork - building mutual understanding and empathy, more effective communication and optimal division of responsibilities.
The prerequisite is the use of proven tests and tools with a high level of reliability, and cooperation with certified consultants_ of a given tool when discussing the results or conducting team workshops.
AtConcordia Design, we use FRIS and CliftonStrengths (commonly known as Gallup) surveys to support building diverse project teams, individual development or strengthening teamwork.

Which tool can support you, your team or your project?

FRIS is used to understand and simply and accurately describe key differences in ways of thinking and acting. The model is based on 4 cognitive perspectives: FACTS - RELATIONSHIPS - IDEAS - STRUCTURES (abbreviated as "FRIS").
They explain what information we consider most important when confronted with a new situation, when we cannot refer to our experience, indicate what thought processes we use most efficiently, what we prioritize most, and what we use most intensively.

With the FRIS survey, you will get to know your:

Style of Thinking - is unchanging and permanent.
Described by a single and unchanging perspective. In new situations, experience does not tell us ready-made solutions. We usually then react, use information and make decisions in our typical way. In cognitive psychology it is called cognitive style or thinking style.

Action Style - can evolve over time.
Described by the composition of all perspectives used.
Action Style shows what perspectives complement your Thinking Style in action and determines in which situations you can use it most efficiently. It is derived not only from natural predisposition, but also from experience and predilection.

What does FRIS give us? The purpose of the FRIS study is not to value ways of thinking - each has its advantages, but also its limitations

-FRIS gives increased awareness of one's strengths and weaknesses;

-greater tolerance for different ways of thinking;

-practical tool for faster conflict prevention and resolution;

-Knowledge of thinking and acting styles has a positive effect on improving team communication;

-and matching project tasks according to the preferences of individuals in the group.

Gallup

The tool is based on the tenets of positive psychology, the field of psychology that deals with well-being and human happiness (well-being).
Don O. Clifton, the creator of the tool, is considered the "grandfather" of just positive psychology and the father of strengths-based psychology.

He created and developed a survey colloquially known as the Gallup survey (the official name of the tool is CliftonStrengths, formerly StrengthsFinder), identifying 34 traits - talents - each person has 5 dominant ones, and developing them is key to achieving professional and life success and fulfillment and satisfaction. The dominant TOP5 talents are unique to each person at a scale of 1:33 million! Talents are divided into 4 talent groups: influence talents, executive talents, strategic thinking talents and relationship building talents. These groups determine the general characteristics and motivations of people in whom a particular talent group dominates.

Talents

Talent is our natural predisposition, a recurring pattern of behavior, feeling and acting. Gallup's approach is about identifying and defining one's talents, which we then invest in and develop into developing strengths, that is, conscious and repeatable action, leading to positive results and completing tasks in a near-perfect way.

What does Gallup give us?

-This tool supports personal growth by identifying and developing one's strengths.

-This is the opposite of the conventional development model, in which we diagnose and identify areas for development in order to then create recovery plans.

-In the Gallup approach, we follow a strengths-based development model, which involves identifying talents and developing strengths.

-Gallup helps you gain an in-depth understanding of your strengths and how they contribute (or can contribute) to your success.

-The tool is also great for teamwork - building mutual understanding and empathy, as well as awareness of the strengths of the entire team.
