"I was photographing a city that I didn't know well and from which I had no memories. This circumstance was the cause of a very pleasant experience - it freed me from typical associations and allowed me to reinvent the space and myself in it," - Artur Plawski writes about his "Good Place" project.
The photos capture Tychy, a city whose promotional slogan is the title "Good Place." The project, however, in a broader context and in a surprising way shows the urban space in the author's subjective narrative. The photos are a document that does not lack ambiguity, imagination and unexpected insights.
The photo album "The Good Place"/"The Right Place" won the title of Photographic Publication of the Year 2023.
Artur Plawski and Filip Springer will talk more about the project, how to read the city and urban photography.
The event is organized by the city of Poznan's #poznansupport budget and co-organized with the Vox Artis Foundation.
