Krupa Gallery and Concordia Design Wrocław are pleased to invite you to workshops for children with creating paper cut-outs.
The workshop will be led by Kasia Kmita - a visual artist and painter from Wroclaw, who has been working for many years in the traditional cut-out technique: she combines elements of folk culture with modernity, and creates intricate works of paper that tell the story of modernity.
During the workshop, children will learn the basics of making cut-outs. Using paper, glue, scissors and their own imagination, they will create colorful paper compositions inspired by folk art.
Workshop for children ages 6 - 10.
The classes will be conducted in Polish and Ukrainian.
For children with hearing disabilities we provide interpretation into Polish sign language. Please notify us in advance about the need for interpretation in the form below.
The workshop is free.
Materials for the work are provided by the organizer.
The number of places is limited. Sequence of applications decides.

The workshop accompanies the project "Portrait Workshop", as part of which a temporary studio of Kasia Kmita has been arranged in the Concordia Design Wrocław building.
In the studio, open to the public for a period of two months, Kmita will work on a series of portraits of contemporary Wroclaw residents created in the technique of traditional paper cut-outs.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kasia Kmita (born 1972) studied at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. She received her diploma in painting in 1996.
Kasia Kmita's work primarily uses the meticulously refined form of the traditional cut-out. In her works, the artist includes observations on the latest trends, lifestyles and urban everyday life with its relatively new, but already ingrained traditions in our culture. She carefully observes the transformations taking place in society and analyzes the desires and mechanisms governing human behavior. Combining elements of Polish folklore with symbols of pop culture, Kasia Kmita's works create a colorful portrait of modernity.
He lives and works in Wroclaw.
KRUPA GALLERY
Krupa Gallery is a new venue dedicated to art and an international platform for collaboration between artists, curators and curators. The goal of Krupa Gallery is to present the most interesting phenomena in the field of contemporary art and to support the work and development of visual artists.
Krupa Gallery's main office is being built at Rynek 27/28 in Wroclaw and its opening is scheduled for the second half of 2022.
CONCORDIA DESIGN
Concordia Design Wrocław is a center for creativity and business. The place runs an offer for young entrepreneurs (business hub), a program of cultural events and a bar and restaurant. It has a rich educational offer: (meetings, discussions) and artistic offerings (exhibitions and concerts) and the events carried out at Concordia are geared towards social participation of various groups of residents.
